Skylark Publishing Company publishes books and stories in which women and girls emerge as heroes. This is a vital concept in this day and age since 99.9% of the heroes of past centuries were men and boys fighting dragons, armies, malevolent machines and such. The story of woman as hero achieves a new level with virtues and skills that are not dependent upon violence. While some of my stories are based upon the Bahá’i Faith, MOST of them feature the principles that are applied to the social issues we face today such as sexism and racism. They are meant for a broad audience. Only two stories have Bahá’i quotations embedded in them. The stories are rich with meaning and symbolism, as well as the Bahá’i principles and can generate discussion between parent and child.

There are also books and videos included in this collection which are being used by Family Violence Shelters across the United States and Canada, as well as the Child Abuse Prevention Office of the Los Angeles School District and Jane Adams Hull House in Chicago.

One book in my collection is based on my book, “Assisting the Traumatized Soul: Healing the Wounded Talisman.” Its title is "The Chalice of Power" which illustrates the need for children to be granted the powers of “authority of self” incrementally as they show themselves to be cooperative and responsible. Then, as they reach the age of maturity, they will have an understanding of their powers and be able to use them.

Baha'i Publishing has now released nine of my fables entitled, "The Heroic Female Spirit - A Collection of Tales!" While this is great news from a publishing perspective, this means they are no longer available in single copy format.

Additionally, the "Letter on the Law of Chastity," the "Acknowledgment Card," and "Fences of Love" which are now included in my book "Healing the Wounded Soul," are no longer available in single copy format.
